Budapest on a budget! Cheap food and booze.

 Hi Hungary I’m Ben

Budapest! That’s the first stop on this tour of Europe. A place named after the river but sounds more like a pesky monk.

We started off by bagging a coupla cheap flights from sky scanner. 60 quid return, bargain!

Keeping under the budget.

Day 1

Ended up getting in to our Air b&b about 11pm, guess that’s why the flights were cheap, and headed out to scout out some of the local corner shop delicacies.

I wanted to get something filling and nutritious after a long hard day sitting on plane but Hannah was feeling the overpriced watermelon…

So obviously we spent all our cash on a melon and went to bed Hungary (ha).

Still keeping under the budget. ;)

Day 2

We woke up, got an on the go porridge and headed off to the Central Market Hall where we found a big ol salami and a lot of goulash.

We walked up Gellerts Hill for some pretty views, here’s Hannah flexing her biceps for reference:

And spent the rest of the day cycling to the botanical gardens which were lovely but it was bazzling so take some water or someone who doesn’t complain.

That evening we spent heading round the ruin bars that litter the city and scranned down a couple of mojitos.

Day 3

Spa day! There are a loada fresh spring spas around the city and so we headed off on the bikes again to have a relaxing day in by the pool.

After winning the gruelling 16 lap race of the lazy river and having munched on victory Solero we headed back to the apartment for some dinner before our early flight the next day.

Overall Rating: 4.5/5

Cheap, pretty, lots to do and would 100% head back at some point in the future. Perfect for travelling Europe on a budget.
